My 3 Favorite WordPress + Elementor SEO Hacks (From Someone Who Uses Them Every Day)

Everyone loves a good shortcut… especially the kind that quietly works behind the scenes like a tiny marketing assistant tapping away at your visibility 24/7.

After working on many WordPress + Elementor websites, I’ve found that SEO doesn’t have to feel technical or overwhelming. Sometimes it’s the simple tweaks that make the biggest difference.

These are 3 of my favorite go-to SEO improvements that help websites show up more clearly in Google search results… and they’re things I implement on my own site and client sites regularly.

WordPress SEO Hack #1: Create a Strong, Keyword-Friendly Footer

Your website footer isn’t just a place for copyright text and social icons. It’s actually a powerful spot to reinforce what your business does and who you serve.

A short paragraph in your footer can help search engines better understand your business while also helping visitors quickly confirm they’re in the right place.

For example, your footer can mention:

  • what services you offer
  • who you help
  • where you are located (or the areas you serve)
  • a link to your Google Business Profile
  • links to key service pages

Example structure:

It feels simple, but this small section strengthens brand clarity and supports local SEO at the same time.

Adding this to your website creates consistency and helps reinforce relevance for search engines.

WordPress SEO Hack #2: Use Internal Linking to Connect Your Content

One of the most common issues I see when reviewing websites is missing internal links.

Internal linking simply means linking pages and blog posts together in a way that makes sense.

Instead of each page living on its own little island, internal links help connect your content into a clear structure that both visitors and Google can understand.

Internal linking helps:

  • visitors find helpful information faster
  • search engines understand what your site is about
  • keep people on your site longer
  • support higher rankings over time

For example:

If you write a blog post about social media tips, you might naturally link to your Social Media Services page.

If you mention website design, you can link to your Website Services page.

The key is to keep the link text natural and descriptive, so readers know exactly what they’ll find when they click.

Think of internal links as helpful signposts quietly guiding both readers and search engines through your content.

WordPress SEO Hack #3: Be Strategic With Tabs, Toggles, and Accordions in Elementor

Elementor makes it easy to create beautiful layouts using tabs, toggles, and accordion sections.

These elements are great for keeping pages visually clean and organized.

However, content hidden inside toggles or tabs may not always carry the same SEO value as visible text on the page.

That doesn’t mean you should avoid using them… just use them thoughtfully.

A good rule of thumb:

If the content is important for helping Google understand the page topic, try to keep that information visible.

Great places to use toggles:

  • FAQs that support content already explained on the page
  • secondary details
  • optional information visitors may want to expand

Try to avoid hiding key service descriptions or main keyword content inside collapsed sections.

If removing the accordion content would make the page confusing, that content likely belongs in visible text instead.
